I have been a fan of Aaron's for several years now and have sung his praises to others. I had the pleasure of meeting him after one of his shows and he couldn't be a nicer person. I have continued to wish he and Lilly Hiatt (another person who deserves wider recognition) would do a full duets album, they seem to have a good friendship and energy. I also he could re-release In the Blazes, which has been difficult to find. I'd like to see Aaron "break out" and I think he has the talent to do it. He was great on Todd's last album and loved how he produced those sessions for Todd, making listeners feel like we were part of a gathering in Todd's living room.

My friendship with Aaron began online. Pretty early on he sent me the link to hear Stellar Evolution before it was out and I was just fucking blown away. I had been looking for someone to mix my album Signal and he was kind enough to put me in touch with Matt Huber who mixed Stellar, and it changed everything. Forever grateful. The new album is so so so good. I think you’re right that every album just gets better and better.
