Several years in the making and it's now up and running, you must be very proud! It certainly sounds a world away from the old practice of labels hoovering up new acts and spitting them out as soon as the wind/regime changed. Now that you've put down that boulder, here's hoping you can make the mountain come to Mohammed (or Silverlab) from now on!
I've seen Abigail's name around town so I'll have to check out the music. Kudos for sticking to it and being willing to roll with the punches when it was necessary. I think that's the hardest part of succeeding.
I’ve always loved your perspective, everyone you work with gets to benefit from that. Silverlab is destined to do great things because of your vision and passion…and Abigail Rose has arrived at the right place at the right time. I love this single!
All of this and more! Would love to see Robert's wife Carrie get more exposure. Been a fan of hers since her first Rounder release in 93 or 94. She is just so damn good on both sides...writing and singing. Take care my friend
Keeping the dream alive. I didn’t know Robert in the 90s but we were in adjacent music scenes and we both used to chafe a little when people said we looked alike. Now we fully embrace it.
And this is where it all begins. It's always a joy to watch you build, talk it out, share and launch. The music industry is broken and you are here to crack open the new future version of it. Cheers to new beginnings and many more.
I’m practically standing on the table cheering. For you and Silverlab and for Abigail Rose. I greatly appreciate that you so thoroughly explained how you got to this place, realizing that the structure and vibe you wanted to work inside did not yet exist. And so you effing created it. It’s a brilliant idea. I wish you success and happiness!!
Kudos. I love everything about this. Plays to all of your strengths as a Music Guy plus all of your music biz/legal expertise. Nice one, John.
Thank you Bruce!
agreed, well said.

Got big plans for Carrie.
Awesome! I also have a copy of the Dorkestra from the Vogue I the 90's. Robert was pretty hyped to autograph it for me. ✌️💛🎶
