I remember getting the Antenna albums from a great record shop in Birmingham UK (Where I also picked up a copy of Caledonia a year or two later). I'd seen Velo Deluxe roll through my hometown (the promoter billed you as 'Ex-Lemonheads' Velo Deluxe), then tracked down the Antenna albums. Was pleasantly surprised to find that Superelastic had finally made it to Spotify the other day when browsing songs to put on in the kitchen on my girlfriend's phone (I too don't generally go beyond the free trial on Spotify).
Well, that probably shows my non-Spotify credentials, ha! I think I've still got a bunch of Velo (not a band to shorten to a two letter acronym!) 7" singles at my folks. There was the original version of The Ballad of Lobster boy, and even a tour single, with the other band you were co-headlining with (Out of My Hair?), I think the song was called Revelation.
Hey too, I hope all is good. Really enjoying the writing. Really insightful and entertaining.
All these years later, it seems that absolutely nobody enjoyed Start Trek 2: The Wrath Of Kahne.
John Strohm, I find your articles brutally honest and insightful. Thanks man.
This was a great read.

Velo has been there for a decade or more. And also hey!

I appreciate that very much!
